Program Requirements
To enroll in the Phlebotomy Technician Course, students must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Provide a valid government‑issued ID
- Meet immunization requirements consistent with MA healthcare training programs (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, TB screening)
- Comply with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Training requirements (included in the course)
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the role (standing, manual dexterity, safe handling of equipment)
While Massachusetts does not require state licensure for phlebotomists, employers and national certifying bodies expect training that meets CLIA, CDC, and OSHA standards, which are fully integrated into STARGA’s curriculum.must do the following:
