  Home Health Aide Training

Length: 4 weeks / 80 hours
Tuition: $1,500

  

STARGA’s Home Health Aide Training program prepares students for entry-level home care and community-based caregiving roles. Students learn personal care, safety, mobility support, communication, basic health-related assistance, and the importance of providing care with dignity and respect.

Tuition includes:

  • Course tuition 
  • One uniform set 
  • CPR/First Aid/AED training and certification 
  • Dementia/Alzheimer’s training 
  • Textbooks and workbooks 
  • Technology fee 
  • Graduation and cap/gown fee 

Nursing Assistant Program

 

  Nursing Assistant Training

Length: 6 weeks
Tuition: $1,960

  

STARGA’s Nursing Assistant Training program prepares students for entry-level nursing assistant responsibilities through classroom instruction, skills practice, and supervised clinical experience.

Students learn basic nursing care, infection control, vital signs, communication, patient rights, mobility support, and professional conduct.

Tuition includes:

  • Program tuition 
  • Textbook and workbook 
  • One official STARGA uniform set 
  • CPR/AED training and certification 
  • Dementia/Alzheimer’s training 
  • Technology fee 
  • Graduation and cap/gown fee 

Important note: Program completion does not guarantee certification, licensure, exam passage, clinical placement, or employment.

Tuition includes the items listed under each program. Students may be responsible for additional costs unless they are specifically listed as included.

Possible additional costs may include:

  • State testing or certification exam fees 
  • Physical exam fees 
  • Immunizations or lab testing 
  • TB screening or chest X-ray, if required 
  • CORI/background check fees, if applicable 
  • Transportation to class or clinical sites 
  • Watch with second hand 
  • Blood pressure cuff and stethoscope 
  • Comfortable clinical shoes

How to Apply

  

  1. Complete the online application. 
  2. Schedule an admissions interview. 
  3. Complete the required basic English and math assessment, if applicable. 
  4. Submit all required enrollment documents. 
  5. Make the required deposit to reserve your seat. 
  6. Review and sign the Enrollment Agreement. 
  7. Review and sign the Student Handbook acknowledgment. 
  8. Receive enrollment confirmation from STARGA. 
  9. Begin classes according to your assigned schedule. 

Basic Admission Requirements

 

  

Applicants may be required to provide:

  • Valid photo identification 
  • Proof of age 
  • High school diploma, equivalent, current high school transcript, or college transcript 
  • Emergency contact information 
  • Previous employment information, if applicable 
  • Completed application 
  • Basic English and math assessment, if applicable 
  • Signed Enrollment Agreement 
  • Signed student handbook acknowledgment 

Health and Clinical Requirements

 

  

Students entering programs with clinical or direct care components may be required to submit health and clearance documentation before participating in clinical training.

Requirements may include:

  • Completed STARGA physical examination form 
  • TB screening, PPD test, or chest X-ray if applicable 
  • Hepatitis B documentation 
  • MMR documentation 
  • Tetanus/Tdap documentation 
  • Varicella immunity documentation 
  • CORI/background check clearance 
  • CPR/BLS/AED certification, where applicable 
  • Any additional documentation required by the clinical site 


Clinical sites may have additional requirements. Students who do not meet health, clearance, or documentation requirements may not be allowed to participate in clinical training. 

Training Expectations

    

Healthcare training requires discipline, attendance, professionalism, and accountability. Students are expected to attend class consistently, arrive on time, participate fully, complete assignments, follow safety procedures, and communicate respectfully with instructors, classmates, patients, and staff.

Students must meet academic, skills, clinical, attendance, conduct, and payment requirements to complete the program.


Tuition and Payment

  

STARGA accepts full payment at enrollment or approved payment arrangements before the start of classes.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Cash 
  • Certified bank check 
  • Personal check 
  • Credit card 

A 3% processing fee applies to credit card transactions.

Students must review and sign the Enrollment Agreement before final enrollment. Tuition, payment schedules, refund terms, and student responsibilities are governed by the signed Enrollment Agreement.
